A Design is a plan. A plan is a statement of intention and aim.

To aquire a real Design, we take into account our aim, the values, structures and relationships that are most likely to help our work reach our aim, and we commit.

When we have a Design for change, we can work to Develop the Design. Then our work on the job includes new commitments to values, process structures and relationships. We have a strategy.

While the plan becomes reality, we adapt the Design to real circumstances.

Lasting changes result from listening to how the Design is being used and received. The Development phase will redesign the Design. Continuous improvement never ends.
